August 28, 2004

Zucchero will be a guest on Radio Monte Carlo next week! He'll be interviewed on tuesday from a studio in Milan between 11:30 and 12:00 CET. If you can't receive Radio Monte Carlo on your radio you can listen online on their website (click RCM live, completely to the right). (Thanks Stefano Bragatto!)

Zucchero will also be interviewed on Video and Radio Italia on monday. Besides being interviewed clips will be shown of the upcomming Royal Albert Hall dvd and a mini concert will be held plus members of the audience will have a chance to talk with Zucchero. Tickets are still available, one way to get them is through Zucchero's official fanclub, send them an e-mail at fanclub@zucchero.it (the first 70 get a free ticket). The show will be live on Radio and Video Italia which can also be seen live online (video).

It seems that the new Everybody's got to learn sometime single (see below) has been released throughout France and apparently is doing very well in the airplay charts too! Zu & Co has also gone up to the 7th place in the album charts in Wallony (the French part of Belgium)! (Thanks to Francesco (from Paris) !).

everybody's got to learn sometime single

It looks like a new version of the "Everybody's got to learn sometime" single will be released, but god knows where. Both the French and UK version of Amazon have the single listed for release on september 6th but it's not clear in what country it's actually being released. The tracklists includes both the English and Italian version of the song (featuring Vanessa Carlton and Haylie Ecker), the live version performed at the 46664 concert last year (featuring Queen and Sharon Corr) and a video of that performance.

We've been adding some articles and interviews about ZU & Co to our articles section, including an interesting interview with Playboy Magazine (....yes), check it out!

Switzerland: 5 (4)

ZU & Co in the charts/ Beachsongs/ Francesca's beach
August 11, 2004

Slow newsweek so let's just start with this weeks positions of ZU & Co throughout the European album charts: in most charts ZU & co is going down a bit this week (Italy, Austria, France and Germany), in Belgium (after doing a show there on august 1st) the album has re-entered the charts, in the Netherlands after going down a bit ZU & Co is now back in the top 20, positions in Slovenia and Switzerland have remained the same.

Slovenia: 1 (1)
Switzerland: 3 (3)
Italy: 8 (5)
Austria: 8 (2)
Netherlands: 16 (23)
France: 16 (11)
Germany: 20 (11)
Belgium: 48 (re-entry)

It's obviously still summer so the weirdest news stories are coming up: according to a survey Zucchero is one of the top "Beach Artists" this summer in Italy. 200 Italians between the age of 15 and 22 have been asked their favourite beach songs and 61% mentioned Zucch with Il Grande Baboomba (even more went for Vasco Rossi, Luca Dirisio and Max Pezzali however.)

And in the same summer-news category: English newspaper The Independant has a story on Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich who seems to want to buy the Italian beach resort Eco del Mare, currently owned by the parents of Francesca Mozer, Zucchero's girlfriendm, who doesn't want the resort sold. Check this website for the entire article.

ZU & Co hits 1 million / 46664 Latino postponed / ZU & Co in the charts
August 4, 2004

Bad news on the 46664 front: the scheduled concertdate in Benidorm, Spain for this august has been postponed but no new date has been scheduled yet. Rumours were already going around that there was some trouble with the show, espacially with Benidorm's local government.

And this weeks chart update:

Italy: 5 (3)
Slovenia: 1 (1)
Austria: 2 (4)
Switzerland: 3 (2)
Germany: 11 (11)
France: 11 (12)
