Last week Zucchero and South American rock band Mana have recorded a special version of Baila (sexy thing), which will only be available for sale in South America, and a Mana song called "Eres mi religion". Mana is one of the biggest rock acts in South America and are best known internationally for their collaboration with Carlos Santana on "Corazon Espinado" on Santana´s "Supernatural". Zucchero and Mana may do several gigs together in South America and Europe. Right now Zucchero is in Cuba on vacation and maybe meeting up with some Cuban musicians.

Art on Ice pictures February 19, 2003
During the three nights of Art On Ice in Zurich a few weeks ago pictures were made of the ice skaters and the performing artists, several of these pictures feature Zucchero and his band in action. You can order copies of these pictures by visiting the following website: http://www.foto-hangartner.ch/asp/galerie/default.htm. Click on Art On Ice 2003 and after that click on the date. There are no pictures of Zucchero in the sections "After Show Party 7.2.03" and "in Bewegung" in the other sections, except for "After Show Party 8.2.03", the pictures with Zucchero or his band are at the end of the series.

Official Fanclub News
If you (re)join the Official Fanclub you will receive the following items: a new fanzine, a t-shirt (the same as the 2002 one), a cd single and an autographed cd with backstage pictures made during the Shake tour. Joining the fanclub will cost €20,79 for people living in Italy and €23,36 for those outside of Italy (no extra charge for people living out of Europe). Cannes April 30th. European tour in spring? February 5, 2003
Zucchero will be playing a show in Cannes, France, on April 30th, tickets are already on sale on www.ticketnet.fr. Right now this is the only spring date in yet, but maybe this means (and let´s face it, it doesnt :-D) that Zucchero will do a European tour this spring and maybe it even means (and lets face it, it absolutely doesn´t :-D) that a new album (that is new album/ live album/ duet album) is on the way!

Art on Ice video release January 23, 2003

Art on Ice tourdates January 19, 2003
Those of you in the Netherlands may know the "Holiday on ice in concert" principle: some people skating and some artists singing. Appereantly that´s also what´s going to happen in Switserland in February: Zucchero will take part in a short Swiss tour called Art on Ice. Other musical guests will be a lot of Swiss and German people and Sarah Connor. The dates are 6-8 February in Hallenstadium Zürich. Tickets are going fast, you can still order tickets for 71 and 51 francs for the 6th, tickets for 171 (VIP), 71 and 51 francs for the 7th and tickets for 171, 141, 71 and 51 for the 8th. Zucchero wins IFPI platinum award January 11, 2003
The IFPI, a company representing the recording industry worldwide, has awarded Zucchero with a IFPI platinum award for "Shake". "Shake" has sold over 2 million copies throughout the world and was good for 6 platinum discs in Italy alone. Throughout the last 6 years Zucchero has already received 3 IFPI platinum awards for "The Best of...".
New year, new news January 10, 2003
Some new stuff has come in on the duet cd and the official fanclub but first of all: happy new year everybody!
According to several Italian newspapers and Rockol.it the long awaited duet album will be released around christmas 2003. The cd will contain several tracks that haven´t been released before like the Miles Davis version of Dunne Mosse and Madre Dolcissima with the Stevie Ray Vaughn guitar solo. It is unclear if Zucchero will record new material.
New members of Zucchero´s official fanclub will receive a special cd-rom with Shake pictures (appereantly both tour and promotional). There´s no news on new fanzines or other special actions by the fanclub. Answers to the questions fans could answer Zucchero haven´t been published yet.
And finally: no news is in on Zucchero´s American tour.... :-(
