After being on hold for some time (let´s say about three years) Funky Gallo will make it´s comeback. The Funky Gallo website is one of the oldest Zucchero sites around, but it´s founder Alex "Funky Gallo" ignored the site for a long time (with only very few updates), even though, in his own words, Alex thinks his site is "the best Zucchero site around" (did he even VISIT some other sites???). Anyway: Funky Gallo will make it´s official comeback starting April 26. Go check it out on this site!

Limited tour edition
March 24, 2002

A limited tour edition has been released, but what makes the tour edition different from the original one? Here´s a list:

first the obvious: it has a bonus cd with 4 live tracks. It´s ok, Il Volo rocks (with a guitar solo, not a harmonica!), Senza una donna is ok, Baila works. But Ahum isn´t that great; it sounds like Zucchero is like 15 feet away from his microphone.

but there are also little details:
- the cover is different (Zucch´s head is bigger)
- on music in me the organ solo towards the end is a bit shorter
- on porca l´oca the Ray Charles part ("Tell your mom, tell your pop, come and love you baby all night long" or something like that) is changed by Arthur Miles singing "I say yes, I say no, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii say I don´t know"
- Ahum has a different intro (the apple part is the same, but the part where Chance goes "I´ve got something to tell you etc." is different, it sounds like it´s recorded live) and the Barry White sample is gone and replaced by Arthur Miles saying something (probably the same, I don´t really like that change)
- In Scintille the first sample ("I´m gonna leave this lonely night") is replaced by James Thompson and a certain Sandra Chambers singing the same thing, the second time they use the sample sounds the same like the regular though.
- In Baila the first drum part is different, faster. They also put more backing vocals in it (like "yeah", "ooh", "aha").

That´s it for now, but I´m sure there´s more. You can order the limited tour edition online through Bol.com (Nederlands and Deutsch) and Amazon.de.

New tourdate
March 16, 2002

Zucchero will play in Groningen (the Netherlands) on May 11 in Martiniplaza, May 11 is also the date on which the Giro will start in Groningen. At the end of the Amsterdam concert on March 15 leaflets were spread with the news, leading fans to sing "We´re going to Groningen, we´re going to Groningen". Zucchero´s show in Amsterdam was a huge success, more info (including a big review) will follow later.

Shake Limited Tour Edition
March 8, 2002

In the Netherlands a special Limited Tour Edition of Shake will be released. Zucchero vs. Sanremo
March 2, 2002

"If you don´t want to join them again, beat them" must be Zucchero´s motto for March 9: on the night of the big final of the Sanremo festival Zucchero will give a huge concert on the FilaForum in Milan, this will also be the last Italian concert of the first part of the Shake tour. Dates for the second part should come in soon.
