Some parts of Zucchero´s official website (www.zucchero.it) are updated. A rispetto and a Royal Albert Hall poster are added to the ´tour´ section, the discography now also contains some ´special versions´, there are now some images of the first solidarity soccermatch under ´Zucchero TV` (some stuff on the second match under news, but it won´t open for me), and lots of other small changes. The new album All the news on Zucchero´s new album August 25, 2001
We´ve tried to put all the news on the upcoming Zucchero album together:
- The title will NOT be ´Mojo´ as reported before, but ´Shake´.
- The album will be presented to the press on september 9 in Rovigo, the day after the final of the Festivalbar.
- The album will come out in ITALY on september 14.
- The album will come out in the REST of Europe on september 17.
- In the rest of the world the album will be released in the first days of october.
- The album will either contain 10 (as reported on the Rockol site) or 11 new songs, including the nr 1 single ´Baila (sexy thing)´.
- Rumours are going on that Sting will be on the album, but Un Po´ Di Zucchero´s ´source´ (:-D) claims that Sting isn´t a guest on the album.
- Blues guitarist and producer Roy Rogers (who produced two John Lee Hooker albums, including the grammy winning ´The Healer´) will join on the album. Un Po´ Di Zucchero was the first site to report this.
- According to our ´source´ ex-Yardbirds guitarist and legend Jeff Beck will be a guest on the new album. Zucchero and Jeff Beck already worked together on the Spirito DiVino album where Beck did the guitar solo on ´Papa perché´. Again Un Po´ Di Zucchero was the first site to bring this news
- Again something from our inside source: guitarhero Carlos Santana will be on the new album! Santana, who made his comeback in 1999 with the grammy winning album Supernatural, and Zucchero already played live together in the early 90´s but this is the first time the two of them recorded something. Un Po´ Di Zucchero also had a scoop on this one (:-D).

Santana and Jeff Beck to appear on new album August 21, 2001
The people from the Unofficial Zucchero Fanclub "Un Po di Zucchero" got some inside info on the NEW Zucchero album coming up this fall: although rumours were going on Sting would appear on the album, some of the guests are actually rocklegends Carlos Santana and Jeff Beck. According to our source the new album is very good, so we can look forward to something!!!!
Shake it! August 9, 2001
Although we´re officially on our vacation already, we really wanted to share this news with you: Zucchero´s new album isn´t called mojo but ´Shake´, the album will contain 11 brand new tracks, and is, as always, produced by the great Corrado Rustici. The album will be released on September the 14th.

Some news on Zucchero´s new album! Appereantly one of the people playing along on the album is blues guitarist Roy Rogers (NOT the cowboy), on his official site he wrote in March this year:
...Rogers just completed recording sessions with Zucchero, Italy's pop/blues superstar for Zucchero's upcoming record release in Europe...
Roy Rogers is a well known bluesguitarist who played with people like John Lee Hooker and others. He also produced the classic John Lee Hooker album The Healer.

Baila in the stores! July 14, 2001
Zucchero´s new single Baila (sexy thing) is in the stores NOW! It´s both in a 2- and a 4-track version availlable. The 2 track single contains besides Baila, the Charlie Rapino club mix of Baila. The maxi-single also contains Hey Man live with BB King during Pavarotti and Friends ´99 and Karma Stai Kalma of Bluesugar. A special version of the single will come out in a few weeks.
